Weekly Updates - Traders' Diary
KARACHI : The Karachi Port handled 313,903 tonnes of cargo including 232,266 tonnes of import cargo; 81,637 tonnes of export cargo and 5,178 loaded and empty containers during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 232,266 tonnes comprised of 76,352 tonnes of containerised cargo; 24,392 tonnes of bulk cargo; 4,599 tonnes of canola; 23,786 tonnes of coal and 103,137 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Jbu Onyx, MT Swat, Thor Winner, Siam Sapphire and YM America expected to sail on Monday, while five vessels viz Pafos, Al-Wajba, Posen, Bunga Raya Empat and Rising OM are expected to sail on Tuesday. Five vessels viz MT Johar, Hammonia Pacificum, APL Dalian, Topaz-II and Sea Coral due to arrive on Monday, while five ships namely Kota Anggerik, Presidence Adams, BC San Francisco, Cape York and Alpha are due to arrive on Tuesday.
PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 120,665 tonnes of cargo includes 101,295 tonnes of import cargo; 19,370 tonnes of export cargo and 3,273 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Monday.
The total import cargo of 101,295 tonnes includes 2,306 tonnes of furnace oil; 50,084 tonnes of diesel oil; 10,742 tonnes of phosphoric acid; 11,508 tonnes of iron ore and 26,655 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 19,370 tonnes includes 1,418 tonnes of cement and 17,952 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV MSC Jemima, CV Maersk Georgia and MT Belize Park sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely MT Al-Salam-II is expected to sail on Monday. Eight vessels viz CV Maersk Georgia, MV Harissa, MV Alexi-1, MV Pacific Express, MV Olmeca, MV Abboud-G, MT Belize Park and MT Al-Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, sugar, iron ore, phosphoric acid and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Al-Noof, Iron Monger-3, Fair Spirit and Jhowhar carrying furnace oil and cement rice respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Two vessels MT Iron Monger-3 and MT JBU Onyx carrying furnace oil and palm oil are expected to take berths at FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Monday. Container vessel Nord Winter due to arrive on Monday, while two more container vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Europa and CV Nexoe Maersk are due to arrive on Tuesday.
